This webinar offers real-world insights into effective strategies for engaging youth and their natural supports to promote healthy relationships, and explores both challenges and key lessons from three examples of on-the-ground work. Sarah Winstanley begins by introducing the concept of meeting people where they are and explores how this approach can support the development of healthy relationships among youth. The panel discussion then features practical examples and reflections from:
- Lianne Lee, who discusses the ConnectED Parents approach to using text messaging to connect with caregivers and support healthy relationship education for youth.
- Roseline Carter, who shares strategies from the Centre for Sexuality for supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ youth through natural supports, as well as approaches for working with parents and young men.
- Stephanie Wright, who highlights how a youth-driven, Next Gen Men Discord server is successfully engaging boys in online spaces they already use.
