Research shows that to advance gender equality and prevent gender-based violence, men and boys need to be engaged as advocates, changemakers, role models and more. CallinMen: Advancing the Field of Engaging Men for Violence Prevention and Gender Equality aims to answer that question – and turn the answer into action. This research project is focused on working with key experts along with summarizing existing research, consolidating promising approaches, and aims to translate all this knowledge for diverse sectors: public, private and human service sector. The overall goal of this project is to develop an evidence-informed toolkit for changing behavior that will support an array of advocates trying to advance the field.
Scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2022, CallinMen is funded by the Government of Canada’s Department for Women and Gender Equality.
