The team that developed the course Advancing Healthy and Socially Just Schools and Communities (Lana Wells, Lynn Corcoran, Tonya Callaghan, Kim Campbell, Darren Lund, Deinera Exner-Cortens, Kim Campbell) received the University of Calgary Teaching Award for Curriculum Development. This interdisciplinary four course certificate program was designed through partnership between the Faculty of Social Work and The Werklund School of Education. Its purpose is to build capacity of social workers, educators, and health care providers to support youth in developing social-emotional competencies and to foster socially just environments in schools and communities.
